During my studies in graduate school regarding corporate social responsiblity. I was armed with the knowledge and the need for change in the current production and disposal of textiles.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I use the analogy of not needing to grow more trees for paper as we have plenty of paper in circulation that can be recycled. Pre consumer textile remnants can also be recycled-reducing the need to spend precious resouces. Hundreds of gallons of ground water are needed to produce one pound of virgin cotton organic or not. Also recycled pre consumer remnant fabrics can dramatically reduce the historical methods of polluting dyes that have been dumped into water tables, rivers, and lakes-now outsource into global enviromental issues.
